Jay Gans Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1952 - 2013 Jay Gans, 60, passed away on Aug 29, 2013 at his home in Kerrville. He is preceded in death by his father, Julius Gans. Jay is survived by his mother, Irene Gans; brother, Mike Gans; sisters, Sunny Graham, Mary Theriot and Molly Downing. The memorial service for Jay will be held at the Oasis Restaurant on Lake Travis, 6550 Comanche Trail, Austin, TX, Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 pm. A memorial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Groves, Texas at 1:00pm on Saturday, Sept 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice.

Jay was my high school sweetheart. I have never met a more intelligent and funny guy. I have missed him so much through the years. I feel so sad knowing he is no longer here. I loved you then as I do now. God bless and keep you.

I was shocked to hear of Jay's passing. I worked at Barkers with Jay around 1970, and re-met him here in Kerrville a few years ago. Just a few weeks ago we sat at the bar in Chili's talking about old times - and he even promised me he would make the giant leap to get on Facebook! There was never a more gracious and kind man. I will miss seeing his smiling face, as will many others in Kerrville.

We loved Jay very much and he will be missed. I hope he got to see the flowers that I sent on Thursday to show how much we cared.
