
Walter Thomas Wilson, 93, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2013 in Bandera. He was born on July 14, 1920 in Boston, MA to Clara (Johnson) and Thomas Wilson. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II (1942-1945). Walter married Sylvia Moffett on September 09, 1944 in Alpine. He worked as a Chief of Acquisition for the Corp of Engineers. Walter and Sylvia moved to Medina in 1983; he loved faming and living in the country. He was a member of the Medina Church of Christ. The most important things in Walters life were his family and the church. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parent; sisters, Clara Freeman and Charlotte Gross.
Walter is survived his loving wife of 69 years, Sylvia Wilson of Medina; daughters, Diane Vannoy of Medina, Carol Robinson and husband Gary of Weatherford, Patricia Wilson of Medina; sons, James Wilson and wife Janie of Burleson, Michael Wilson and wife Angela of Medina; sister, Bertha Rushton of New Hampshire; brother, Bill Wilson of Denton; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by many other family members and dear friends.
Graveside service will be 1 pm, Monday, Sept 23, 2013 at Oak Rest Cemetery, Medina with Pastor Wayne McKanie and Murl Hellwig. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Peterson Hospice, 551 Hill Country Dr., Kerrville, Texas 78028. The family invites you to send condolences to wrightsfuneralparlor.net .
