Robert Craig McCollum, 64, of Ingram, passed from this life October 01, 2013 at his residence. He was born on April 07, 1949 in Childress to Jenny (Bounds) and John McCollum. He served in the US Marine Corp during Vietnam (1968-1982). Robert worked in the furniture sales business as a manager for many years. He enjoyed spending time doing wood working and playing/writing music.
He was preceded in death by his father John W. McCollum.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of years, Sharon McCollum of Ingram; mother, Jenny Lee Davidson and husband Neville; daughter, Summer Castle and husband Lee of Amsterdam, Netherlands; son, Philip McCollum and wife Meredith of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Cecile Leigh Ropas and husband John of Lubbock; brothers John B. McCollum of Dallas, Russell W. McCollum and wife Mitzy of New Braunfels, and Richard P. McCollum and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio. Robert has several grandchildren along with many other family members and friends, all whom will miss him greatly.
Memorial service will be held 2:45 pm, Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
