Petra R. Aleman, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Kerrville hospital. She was born on August 01, 1925 in Columbus, Texas to Miguel Rodriguez and Josepha (Vasquez) Rodriguez. She has been a resident of Ingram since 1963. Petra was a church member of Casa De Oracion Nueva Esperanza, Comfort. Petra married Gregorio Aleman and they had 19 children and raised numerous grandchildren. She was a very spiritual person, who lived her life as an example to others. She loved everyone the same and showed unconditional love to family, friends and strangers. Over the last 3 years, the doctors told Petra that her time was near but God extended her stay on earth to allow her to bless the ones in her life. Petra always had a smile on her face and love in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gregorio Aleman and son, Gilberto Aleman.
Petra is survived by her children, Victor Aleman, Maria Salinas, Rita Aleman, Luisa Rodriguez, Cipriano Aleman, Dominga Lopez, Julia Santana, Josephina Aleman, Silvester Aleman, Erlinda Pena, Juanita Saldana and Melody Hernandez; 56 grandchildren, 133 great grandchildren and 38 great-great grandchildren. Petra leaves behind many other family members and friends whom will continue to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held 9 am- 4 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 and 9 am Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Wrights Funeral Parlor.
Wake will be 4 - 6 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Wrights Funeral Parlor.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Wrights Funeral Parlor. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Kerrville. Pallbearers for the service will be Greg Aleman, Genaro Lopez Jr., Robert Charnichart, Freddie Pena, Julian Pena Jr. and Mateo Mata.
