EVERETT LAWRENCE GORDEY
Funeral services for Everett Lawrence Gordey, 83, of Kountze, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont with military honors. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gordey died May 26, 2004 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Center in Silsbee.
He was the owner of Gordey’s Industrial Manufacturing Co., in Silsbee, Texas and served in the U. S. Navy during WW2. He was a native of Melder, LA. and longtime Kountze resident.
Mr. Gordey was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Marie Gordey.
Survivors include son, Lawrence Earl Gordey of Kountze; brother, Douglas Gordey of Beaumont; sister,
Beatrice Guffy of Alexandria, LA and Jolene Wheaton of Moss Hill; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
