KATIE RAYBON TOOLE
Born in Greenville, Alabama on February 4, 1917 to T.H. & Dasie Owen. Where she grew up and married Charlie Raybon. They lived there until 1951 when they moved to Beaumont. There they lived and worked She worked about 20 years for Texas Coffee Company. Then they had several Texaco service stations. In the late 60’s they bought a grocery store in Evadale. She and Charlie owned and operated Raybon Grocery until his death in the 80’s. Katie never completely retired until this year. She was mowing grass, cooking and gardening; she loved helping and cooking for everyone. She was a member of Central Baptist of Evadale where she was Sunday School Secretary for several years.
Survivors include son and wife Kenneth W. and Charlotte Raybon of Little Cypress; daughter and husband Betty and Jack Favors of Evadale; sister Arlen Harrell of Dothan, AL; granddaughters and husbands Karen & Scott Bowman of AL, Pam and Curtis Bailey of Jasper; grandsons and wives David and Joyce Simon of Evadale and Stephen & CoSandra Simon of Las Vegas, NV; five great grandchildren; five wonderful sisters-in-law all from Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Charlie Raybon and John Toole; brothers Glen, W. J. and Oneal Owen all of Alabama.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday June 21, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Sunday June 20, 2004 at the Funeral Home.
