Charles Bubba McDonald Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1962 - 2004 CHARLES WAYNE “BUBBA’ MCDONALD Funeral services for Charles Wayne “Bubba” McDonald 41, of Honey Island will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island. Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Monday August 16, 2004 at the funeral home. Bubba died August 14, 2004 at his sisters home in Silsbee. Better know as Bubba the Mayor of Honey Island he was born in Houston and was a lifelong resident of Honey Island. Bubba was injured in an accident at age 14 and has been disabled since. Survivors include brother Ronnie McDonald of Honey Island; sisters Donna Harrison of Silsbee, Janet Flower and Tina Singletary both of Honey Island; niece & nephews Amy Harrison, Cory Harrison, Jason McDonald Sr. & wife Sara, Brian Crawford, Eric Crawford, Troy Flower, Curtis Flower and great nephew Jason McDonald, Jr. Bubba’s nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

I read the paper to see the sad news today- My thoughts and prayers go out to the McDonald Family- I remember talking with "Bubba" on numerous occasions as he would request songs during my show on KD97... and of course he always reminded me that the song was for the "Mayor of Honey Island" :)

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Coon loved Bubba as a brother. He will be sadly missed by not only us but everyone who knew him for he was a person that no one could 'hate'. He never was a trouble maker. So with that...Goodbye "Mayor of Honey Island" we will meet again. Love.....The Arabie's
