Christine Elizabeth Read Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1920 - 2004 CHRISTINE ELIZABETH READ Funeral services for Christine Elizabeth Read, 84, of Lumberton will be 5:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Silsbee. Mrs. Read died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, TX. Mrs. Read was a native of Missouri and a longtime resident of Lumberton. She graduated from the University of Texas, Galveston, John Sealy Branch as an RN and was the Hardin County nurse for many years. Mrs. Read was the original owner and editor of the Lumberton News and worked at KKAS doing a health-related program. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Price, of Lumberton. In lieu of flowers, memorandums can be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, PO Box 636, Silsbee, TX 77656.
