REV. ELDON C. JONES
Funeral services for Rev. Eldon C. Jones, 81, of Silsbee will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Interment will follow in Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the funeral home.
Rev. Jones died Thursday, October 14, 2004 at Silsbee Convalescent Center in Silsbee. He was a native of Hemphill and had lived in Silsbee the past 30 years. Mr. Jones was a retired preacher of several area churches and a licensed surveyor. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church and was involved in numerous outdoor activities. He served in the US Army in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Sirmons Jones of Silsbee; three sons, Mike Jones of Silsbee, Larry Jones of Beaumont and Kenny Jones of Silsbee; one daughter, Linda Jones Fullerton of Houston; one brother, Eugene Jones of Moss Bluff, LA; one sister, Margaret Hensley of Silsbee; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
