My parents let me know about Nell. I am praying for all of you. I'm excited to spend eternity together! I remember when you came to visit us in Cleburne in the 60's. I remember her laugh and how comfortable I felt when I was around her. (I also remember eating Fritos, onion dip, and chocolate cake when you were there, for what that's worth!) "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Isaiah 41:31 Blessings, Carla Langham (Roten)

Nelle was such a sweet person. She was such a good friend to my family, especially when I was a young girl growning up. Her smile and laugh were always a welcome sign. Nelle was one of my Sunday School teachers @ 1st Baptist in Silsbee. I know her family and many friends will miss her deeply, as will my family. Always keep her wonderful memory alive in your heart and mind.

Just wanted to let you know our prayers are with you. I know death of a love one is never easy and there is never the words to say to help ease the pain, but I know MY JESUS will sustain you and give you peace. My memory of your mom and also your dad is at least 45 years ago...YIKES, you know what that makes us!.....It was the times they all (the adults) played volleyball in your backyard. AND then remember having to sit on the ice cream freezers. Of course, there was a towel between us and the ice.....but it was still cold. My prayers are with you, Judith Hardie (Roten) from California

I am so sorry that I didn't know about Nell until a couple of hours before the funeral. I did make it to the funeral but would have gone to the visitation had I known. The service was beautiful and I know she was proud. I have known Nell since she was in grade school. She graduated with one of my sisters and they were good friends. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I remember "Aunt Burnelle's" laugh and that special way she made me feel. I was a child when I last saw her, but I loved her then and remember...still.

I feel so honored to have known Nelle. She was such a bright spirit, and I always looked forward to being with her when she would visit Cathy and Richard at the beach. She invited me into her group of friends and they quickly became mine. Each month we got to catch up playing bunco and sharing laughs. I loved her smile, her wit, and her love for her family and friends. You are all in my prayers. I will miss her deeply. With love, Belinda
