I just want to say how sorry i am to hear about Doug's death. I cant believe after all these years im just now finding out.i will never ever forget him seeing that he was my very first boyfriend and he was as everyone else has said a really great guy. I send my condolences to his family and friends although very very late and im very sorry its eight years late but he will be missed very much by me and my whole family because my parents adored him when we were younger. Please except my condolences. I never meant to find out so long afterwards.

We were so sad when we heard the news about Doug. I just wanted you to know it has been a pleasure having our kids grow up together. I have always felt like Doug and several of the other kids in their group are just like one of my own. We will miss him very much. Please don't hesitate to call if we can do anything at all.

Thompson Family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I did not know Douglas at all, but I am a student at Texas State University. I got to attend the vigil in your son's honor, and I was able to witness the many people he had touched while he was at Texas State. On behalf of the Texas State community, your family is in our prayers.

My name is Ashly Tynes and I am a senior at Lumberton High School. I didnt know Doug very well, but I have gone to school with him for a very long time, so that still presents some kind of connection. I want his family to know that our hearts and our prayers go out to them and he will be very missed by all the students who knew him at LHS.
