Funeral services for Merle Cawthon, 87, of Beaumont will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Gene Roden and Sons Funeral Home in Paris, Texas with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery also in Paris.
Mrs. Cawthon died November 18, 2004 at Collier Park in Beaumont.
She was a native of Rugby, Texas and a longtime resident of the Silsbee area. Mrs. Cawthon was owner of a book store in Paris until 1967. She taught school in Talco, Bogata and at Silsbee Junior High until 1990.
Survivors include son Art Cawthon and wife Deanna of Beaumont; daughter Ann Saam and husband Steven of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren Rob and Christi Woodruff; great grandchildren Caleb, Christopher and Keely Woodruff.
