Funeral services for Darvin Glenn “D.G” Gilmore, 66, of Kountze will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2004 at First Assembly of God Church in Kountze with interment at William Hart Cemetery also in Kountze . Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Gilmore died December 20, 2004 at his home. He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield. He was a lifelong resident of Kountze and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include wife Dora Bell Gilmore of Kountze; three daughters, Jerry Sue and Jeff Jones of Hull, Tammy and Jacky Winters of Saratoga and Cathy and Wade Tomlinson of Gonzales, La; three sons, Randy and Daphine Cochran of Batson, Scotty and Charlotte Gilmore of Daisetta and Brian and Brenda Gilmore of Lumberton; sister, Joan Johnson of Kountze; brother, Ozzie Gilmore of Kountze; twenty-two grandchildren and one great grandson, Nathan Allen VanKirk, II.
