Dear Bobby and Randy, I am very sorry to hear about Lola. I just found out today, so was unable to attend the service. Lola was one of my parents' closest friends. Our families have shared many experiences together and I really cherish them. Lola was my fifth grade teacher, and I remember her as a teacher who was both strict and caring. She was not only one of my favorite teachers, she was also one of my favorite people. I feel incredibly fortunate to have grown up in Silsbee, and the time I spent with and things I have learned from Lola and her family represent some of the most positive influences I have had in my life. I thank God for the opportunity to have known Lola. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love, Don

Dear Bobby, I am so very sorry to hear of Lola's death. My parents truly loved both of you, so do I. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit with the two of you a short time ago. At the time Lola seemed very well. When friends asked me how I liked my high school reunion, I replied, "The high-light of the weekend for both Kimberly and me was our visit with Mom and Dad's long time friends, especially Lola and Bobby Read." I just found out about Lola, and will be unable to be with you in person. However, know that I am with you in spirit.
Love, Sally

Lola Read was Pat's fifth grade teacher. Our guess is that she taught over a thousand students and influenced several thousand more during her career. What a wonderful blessing she was to the Sislbee community. Our prayers are with Bobby, Randy, Margaret and all the family.
