A native of San Augustine County, Virgie lived in Silsbee, Texas for most of her life. She was a wonderful loving mother. She overlooked our faults. Virgie was manager of the Soda Fountain in Hardin Drug for many years. After retiring, she moved to Town Bluff to spend a few enjoyable years camping and fishing. She loved being around people and after moving back to Silsbee, she went to work for Silsbee School Cafeterias where she worked for a number of years before retiring from the work force. She took water aerobics and played Forty-two every chance she got. She attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church and could be found there most Sundays.

Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, Velbert Crocker and one daughter, Martha Sue Golden. She is survived by daughter Billie Jean Maida and her husband, Sam of Orange, Texas, daughter, Nelda Fae Sheffield and her husband William H. (Tator) of Spurger, Texas, her daughter, Linda Carol Sanford of Dickinson and her son Kenneth Crocker and his wife Rosalee of Silsbee, Texas. She is survived by one sister Eddie Fae Pickle of Jasper, Texas. 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.
