Donald ‘Donnie’ Wayne Hernandez, 51, of Lumberton passed away Friday, January 28, 2005 at his home.
Donnie was born in Beaumont, Texas on May 25, 1953. He had lived in Lumberton for the past 36 years. Donnie had been a welder for Bethlehem Steel Shipyard and had since worked construction as a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Hernandez and his father, Albert Lee Hernandez.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Jack Hernandez of Lumberton and Dale Hernandez and his wife, Jennifer, both serving in Iraq; granddaughter Isabelle Hernandez; mother Betty Gilbreath and husband, Bill of Lumberton; brothers Danny Hernandez and wife, Mary of Lumberton and Pat Gilbreath of Tucson, Arizona; sisters Sharon Milner and husband, Curtis of Lumberton, Gayle Lineman and husband, Danny of Georgetown and Judy Juda and husband, Luke of Bridge City.
Donnie was well loved and enjoyed cookouts with his family and friends.
Services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 4:30 Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
