
Kathy Delaney Young, 55, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Born on September 4, 1949, she lived in Beaumont until 1970 when she relocated to Rosenberg, TX for 32 years. For the past three years, she has resided in Beaumont where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Prior to 2002, Kathy was a member of First Baptist Church, Rosenberg. She retired from SBC in October 2002 with 35 years service.
Kathy was a loving mother, sister, aunt and daughter who had a huge heart with unbounding love for all and a need to help others. She was a kind friend to all those she met and will be sorely missed by all those whose life she touched.
Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her father, Benny Frank Delaney, Sr.
She is survived by her mother, Dimples Jeffcoat Delaney; son, Gary Arlen Young of Austin; sister, Barbara Delaney Mozley and brother, Benny Frank Delaney, Jr., both of Beaumont; nephews, Jared Mozley and wife, Melody, of Lumberton, Casey Mozley, and Chris Delaney; niece, Morgan Delaney and great-niece, Brianna Werts, all of Beaumont; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3rd at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2005 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with Reverend Richard Coward officiating. Graveside services will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred, TX.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Jeffcoat, Jon Jeffcoat, Joel Jeffcoat, Denny Perkins, Jared Mozley and Casey Mozley.
