Funeral services for Robert Elton McNeil, Jr., 59, of Silsbee, are 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.

Mr. McNeil passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of February 2, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

He was born in Beaumont and was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. Mr. McNeil was an operator at MeadWestvaco and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband and father.

His parents, Robert E. McNeil Sr. and Violet Spivey McNeil and daughter Kimberley McNeil preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Linda Carolyn (McShan) McNeil; three sons, Gareld McNeil and wife, Brandy, Robby McNeil and wife, Rhonda and Matthew McNeil and wife, Amanda, all of Silsbee; two brothers, Jerry McNeil of Orangefield and Richard McNeil of Pennsylvania and ten grandchildren.

Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Robert several years at the mill. May God give you comfort and peace during this time.

Linda, I was saddened to hear of Robert's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys. I remember the good ole days of Little League....Take care and God Bless

Mrs. McNeil, I would like to say I am very sorry to hear about Robert's passing. In our younger days at the paper mill, he and I had many a lively discussion of our faith in Christ. May I say, my family and I will have you in our prayers. Harold Bean, Lumberton Texas.
