To the family of Pat Fontenot: We would all like to express our deepest condolences to all of you. We were sorry to hear of his death. Pat was my godfather (Gail) even though I had not seen him in years. We had all lost contact with Pat, but he would come up in conversations when we would talk about times in the past. Mom and Dad bought the home they have lived in for 45+ years from Pat, and they recall their times with him and his brother Jerry when they were all growing up. Again, we are all sorry for your loss and hope all goes well with your family. Love from the Guillory family and the Wright family

Mama, when you married Pat, I don't think that you realized that you were also giving me a wonderful gift. He was a Dad to me in all ways. He was there for me and didn't know the word no when I needed help. If it wasn't for him, it is doubtful that I would even be a nurse today. He was a loving Papa to the kids and kept them so that I could go to school. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man with us. He loved us as if we were his own and I definitely thought of him as my dad. I already miss him and will always do so. I am so sorry that you are going through this pain but I think that the love you had and all your memories will comfort you. Just know that you are not alone...we are here for you and love you very much.

As time continues to pass I will never forget the memories that were once shared with the people I love most. I had the best grandparents that anyone could ever ask for, loving, caring, thoughtful and so very generous. Papa Pat will be missed in this lifetime, but we will all meet again when the time comes, until then I will continue to pray for the lives of us all to enjoy this life to the fullest as Papa Pat had done. Mama Cookie I love you and everything will be alright. God has a plan for everyone and I know that Papa will be at your side every moment possible. The love that you two shared was incredible and everyone could see it. I will continue to pray for you as God will continue to heal you from the pain of one's loss. I love you!
