Our mother only received a seventh grade education. But she loved to read. She was a Christian who lived honor, honesty, credibility, dependability, and kindness. She had enough love in her heart for everyone. She was a Cajun who loved to cook, listen to music, dance and laugh. She was thankful for all she received and did not question what she did not have. She passed this knowledge and information to her family through example.
Our family extends our deepest appreciation and love to the many who knew her as mother, grannie, Aunt Eve, neighbor and friend. Our family would also like to thank the administration, staff, and residents of Hotel Beaumont for all of their love, care, and kindness. We would like to thank Lumberton Rehabilitation and Odyssey Hospice for their support.
Our thanks to her pall bearers who are Vernon Wiggins, Danny Keiner, Tommy Harris, Angelo Gallio, Geno Gonzales and Robbie Smith.
Our mother will be greatly missed, but she will remain in our hearts forever. We feel very fortunate to have had two wonderful parents..
Preceding her in death is her husband Jesse Harris and sons, Jesse Harris Jr. and Danny Harris.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Mitchell and husband, Jimmy of Town Bluff and Linda Harris of Lumberton; son J.R. (Bob) Harris and wife, Mary of Lumberton; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and six great, great-grandchildren
