Funeral services for John Wesley (J.W.) Lewis Jr., 82, of Jasper will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2005 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with Pastor Doug McBride of Jasper Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lewis died March 22, 2005 in Jasper.
He was a native of Kountze, TX and had lived most of his life in Orange and Silsbee before moving to Jasper eight months ago. Mr. Lewis was a retired maintenance mechanic for DuPont in Orange.
Survivors include his wife, Elbie (Ferguson) Lewis of Jasper; two sons, John Wesley Lewis III and Gerald Wayne Lewis, both of Buna; daughter Linda Frazier and husband, Charles of Jasper; three sisters, Mary Nell Hale of Silsbee, Lois Lund of Livingston and Alene Goutreaux of Denham Springs, LA. Mr. Lewis is also survived by nine grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cody Lewis, Ava Lewis, Erica Frazier, Alan Frazier, Wesley Lewis, Charles Hollingsworth and Bobby Hollingsworth; three great-grandchildren and five great, great-grandchildren.
