Sharon and Family, I want to share my deepest condolences and thoughts with you and your family as you pass through the ages of time we all will someday walk. Unfortunately some earlier that others. I too grew up with John (Johnny-which I know he hated). What a guy.... Many fun days with him from first grade to high school. He was the best friend anyone could ever have. Never judged unless he was there! I remember all, John and Laura, and also you Sharon from our school days. Johns dad Rocky and his mom... what a guy. Life moves too fast. God Bless you all and I hold you in my thoughts. India Sue Mabry Luke

Sharon, I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am about the loss of your husband. I just read it in the paper and was shocked! Since I am not living in Kountze, I was not aware of his illness. I am truly sorry and will keep you in my prayers. Tell your family hello for me....sincerely, Kelly Bass

I never really knew John but felt like I did. James grew up with him and I know so many others that were part of John's world....I felt like I was. Just before dark yesterday, I walked out to the little pond that John dug for James and thought about John and the love so many have for him and how hard he fought to stay here (because of his love). I realized we were so fortunate to have a "John Pond" (which is what I promptly named the little pond). I crossed Richardson Road and walked part way down the drive to the old Richardson homeplace. I tried to picture it as it must have been when John was a little boy. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson. The brothers and little sister, Laura, there. All I could see was that blonde hair and a very "busy" little boy. Yesterday, the Lord called that little boy home. John will never hurt again. Knowing that will comfort you. The pain of missing him will hurt terribly. The only solution I know for that is to allow yourself to feel him and know that he still very much exists. He still "is". And he is still watching out for you all and loving you. God bless and help you all at this very difficult time. Love, Joline
