WALTER HILLARY PICKETT

Funeral services for Walter Hillary Pickett, 70, of Evadale, will be at 2 p.m. Friday,

April 15, 2005 at R. S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Pickett died April 13, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

He was a retired paper maker at the paper mill in Evadale. Walter was born in Chestnut, LA. and had lived in Evadale for many years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include wife, Hazel Lois Pickett of Evadale, daughters, Debra Marie Hayes of Mauriceville, Rena Adkins, Patricia Ann Pickett and Nancy Lynnette Goss all of Silsbee; step-daughters, Terry Lynn Croft of Lakeview and Kimberly Ann Reich of Evadale; sister, Bernice Beal of Springhill, LA. and fourteen grandchildren.

I am just wishing you my deepest sympathy on your loss...I work at MeadWestvaco and i also worked with "Bud" for many yrs. He taught me a lot on my way up the ranks...We had a lot of good times together ...We weathered the storm...He is in a much better place right now....Look to the hills from whence cometh thy help...Sincerely...Elton"Pinetree" Grubbs
