Funeral services for Vernon Everett Crowson, 77, of Houston will be 12:00 p.m. Friday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Interment will follow in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Crowson died June 13, 2005 at his residence in Houston.
Mr. Crowson was a native of Nacogdoches and was a long time resident of this area. He served in the Merchant Marines and was a retired First Mate with Sabine Towing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Crowson of Orange; sons, Wayne Crowson and Rick Crowson, both of Houston; daughter Jackie Lynne Crowson of Lexington, Tennessee; brothers, George Crowson of Conroe and William Crowson of New Caney; sisters, Wanda Forse of Conroe and Jean Malmay of Beaumont; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
