1937 - 2005
 FRANK JOHN WALTER, Jr.
Frank John Walter, Jr. 68, born April 24, 1937 in Houston, Texas to Frank John Walter, Sr. and Sigrid Johnson Walter, died following a brief but serious illness on July 3, 2005.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother John Paul Walter, and daughter Lisa Kay Walter, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kay Walter of Lumberton; daughter Susan Lee Walter of Houston; son Frank “Jody” Walter, III, his wife Bhavani; grandchildren Marishka, Ryne, and Ethan all of Lumberton; brother Robert J. Walter and family of Houston; numerous relatives and friends, all who will miss him greatly.
A proud Texas native, Frank lived the life of an outdoorsman. He also enjoyed being a Mason, a member of the Golden Triangle Gun Club, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Silsbee. But more important to Frank than any of these were his family and the time he spent at home with them.
Funeral services for Frank will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 6, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Silsbee with interment at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park-Westheimer in Houston. Services will be under the direction of R. S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 5p -8p on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers include his fellow Masons from Mason Lodge 927 and members of his men’s Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.

Jody, Bhavani, et fam ~
In the words of Kahlil Gibran:
"For what is it to die,
But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind?
And when the Earth has claimed our limbs,
Then we shall truly dance."
The loss of a family member, especially a parent or a child, is difficult to accept. Adele and I share your grief ~ know that our love is with you all.

Thanks for the "Grape Street" memories of boating, crabbing, and taking the "sleeping cat" away from me when I was a little girl. Also, thanks for giving me my best friend, Susan. I will miss you!

Dear Jody, Bhavani, Marishka, Ryne and Ethan,
We are thinking about you in this very difficult time and are so sad for your loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Though we didn't have the chance to meet Frank in person, if his son Jody is anything like his father, Frank was an incredible man, indeed. Our warmest and heart-felt thoughts go out to you all.
Love,
Heathere, Kevin & Caitlynn

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Frank Walter. I live right beside Mr. Walter, and have been his newest neighbor for the past 3 years. I can't express enough how kind he and his wife have been to us since we moved there in the summer of 2002. I see all the reasons why he will be missed very much by his friends and family.
Sincerely,
Eric Love
