Funeral services for Dick Burnes, 69, of Fred will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Burnes passed away July 7, 2005 at his home in Fred.
Mr. Burnes was a native of Silsbee and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired roughneck in the oil production business.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Ann Burnes of Fred; three sons, Jess Burnes of Fred, Mike Burnes of Colmesneil and Chad Burnes of Fred; three daughters, Julie Freeman, Charlene Scott and Gena Tanton, all of Fred; four brothers, J. W. Burnes of Fred, Frank Burnes of Fred, Robert Watts of Silsbee and Virgil Watts of Silsbee; three sisters, Helen Milner of Oklahoma, Doramay Gregory of Toledo Bend and Zetty Jean Burnes of Fred and sixteen grandchildren.
