Orville Raye "Red" Adams, 78 of Silsbee, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Born in Gainsville she lived in Silsbee since 1946. Her children include Charlie Adams Jr. and wife Mary, Sylvia and husband Larry Davenport, and Dorothy and husband Ronnie Duff. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie AdamsS Sr. and grandson Joshua C. Davenport. She is survived by two sisters, Ona Cagle of Fort Worth and Sally Baughman of Everman.
She loved her family with a fierceness that was reflected in her fiery red hair. Over the years the red hair faded to silver, but her love only grew. She's now gone home to be with her Charlie and her Jesus.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church in Silsbee on Saturday, July 23.
