A memorial service for Arbie ‘Sonny’ Dials, Jr., 71, of Kountze will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Christian Center in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
Mr. Dials died August 30, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Mr. Dials was a native of American Falls, Idaho, a longtime resident of Salt Lake City, Utah and had lived in Kountze the past three years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Dials graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in electronics and worked as a security electronic technician for Unysis with 31 years service. His favorite pastimes were fishing, water skiing and snow skiing.
Survivors include his wife, Lona Sanders Dials of Kountze; daughter Robin Burnswick and son Darren Dials, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother LeeRoy Dials and wife Judy of Sun River, Oregon; sister Florence Burse and husband Bill of Canterbury, Connecticut; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
