Dear Family Members, I am the daughter of Nita McKnight and wanted to express my sympathy over the loss of such a delightful lady. I read in the paper about the mention of "sewing for two Beaumont decorators" and it caught my eye. I remember going with my mother many times to Silsbee, and mother would have no other one to sew for her clients because Opal did the most beautiful job. I know you will have the wonderful memories just as I do of my mother who passed away also at age 90 in 1995. Another noted event was that Opal was born in Center, TX, as was my father in 1900.
