Funeral services for Guilford Shepherd, 92, of Lumberton are 1:00 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Shepherd died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Mr. Shepherd was a native of Orange. He was a longtime resident of Silsbee and Warren before moving to Lumberton. Mr. Shepherd was a Texas A & M graduate and worked as an electrical engineer for Bethlehem Steel Shipyard before retiring.
Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his parents William L. and Sarah Cunningham Shepherd and a daughter Sarah Ann Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Ruth Williamson Shepherd of Lumberton; son Bill Shepherd and wife Barbara of Montgomery; three daughters, Janis Wood and husband Charles of Beaumont, Bobby Jo Clawson and husband John of Rockford, Illinois and Mary LeBoulanger and husband Walter of Whitehouse; two sisters, Josephine Poole of Orange and Laura Crain of Missouri City; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
