Graveside services for John R. Callaway, Jr., 74, of Fred will be 10:00 am Saturday at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home of Silsbee.
Mr. Callaway died October 28, 2005 at Holiday Pines Nursing & Rehab Center in Woodville.
Mr. Callaway was a lifelong resident of Fred. He worked as a painter and was a US Army veteran.
John Robert was preceded in death by his parents John R. and Cora Callaway; brothers Skeeter Callaway, Jack Callaway and Scott Callaway and sisters Lucille Rayburn, Vera Fortenberry and Miriam (Myro) Smith.
Survivors include two step- sons Vernon E. Greenwood of Dayton and James Greenwood of Silsbee; step-daughter Sylvia Tucker of Baytown; brother Pate Callaway; eleven grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
