Melba O. Gore Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1925 - 2005 MELBA ODESSA GORE Funeral services for Melba Odessa Gore, 80, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Gore died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Winchester Lodge in Alvin. Melba was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and retired as receptionist from Tennison Clinic. She was a loving wife and mother. Survivors include son Wilburn Gore and wife Christina of Groves; daughter Brenda Strahan and husband Bob of Rosharon; sister Mary Johnson of Silsbee; brother Kenneth Kirkendall of Lumberton; grandchildren Kim Gore, Cody Gore, Rhonda Slaydon and Joseph Yunk and four great grandchildren.

My special aunt, we put her through some trying times when we were teenagers. she always put us in our place, but couldn't help but laugh at some of our antics as she was disciplining us. I'll miss that laugh and her beautiful face. My love to her, Brenda,Wilburn Earl and their familes. Lynn and family

I am so sorry to hear about your Granny Kim, I am Alicia that grew up around the corner and we used to play together all the time I am sorry for you on your loss and god be with each of you all.
