Funeral services for Alfis Kirkland, 85, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kirkland died November 14, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Woodville, Mr. Kirkland was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He was a boilermaker and welder, retiring from Mobil Chemical.
Alfis served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geneva Kirkland of Silsbee; sons Robert Kirkland and wife Vivienne of Devers and Ricky Kirkland and wife Judy of LaGrange; grandchildren, Robb Kirkland, Jana Post, Amy Kirkland and Kyle Kirkland and great-grandchild Maggie Post.
