Funeral services for Jim Willie (J.W.) Nicol, 80, of Belle Chasse, LA will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA with interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA. Local arrangements were made by Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Nicol passed away December 2, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Sour Lake, J W had been a resident of Belle Chasse for the last 36 years. Mr. Nicol was a retired gauger in the oilfield. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. JW was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
JW was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nelda Barron Nicol and his parents, Allen S. and Alice Nicol. He is survived by four daughters, Donna Rotz, Beth Clark and husband Gary, Lynette Wingerter and husband Rusty, all of Belle Chasse and Jimmilynn Koch of Port Neches; sisters, Dolly Stone and husband Jake and Aline Foxworth and husband Alton; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
