Funeral services for Evelyn Evone Hooks, 80, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Thursday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Gore Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hooks died Monday December 19, 2005 at Silsbee Convalescent Center in Silsbee.
Evone was born in Jasper and was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Mrs. Hooks was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Hooks, her parents, John E. and Senith Kelley, sister Jean Reeves and brothers Joe, Bennie and Weldon Kelley.
Survivors include daughter Bettie Hare and husband Robert of Silsbee; two grandsons, Rob Hare and wife, Brandi of Silsbee and Chris Hare of Silsbee; granddaughter Janet Kleerekoper and husband Quinn of League City; great grandchildren Kurt and Karley Hare, Alex Theis, Gerret and Andrew Kleerekoper and Ashtyn and Cameron Hare; brothers Robert Kelley of Kirbyville and Edward Kelley of Silsbee and sisters Francis Grisham of Silsbee, Martha Ivins of Nederland and Linda Sue Haire of Buna.
