DOUGLAS “BOOTS” CHANCE
Funeral services for Douglas “Boots” Chance, 79, of Silsbee will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with Reverend Ray McKee officiating. Interment will follow at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee.
Born in Hemphill Mr. Chance died January 20, 2006 at Silsbee Convalescent Center.
Boots retired from Santa Fe Railroad after forty two years of service where he worked as a car inspector.
Survivors include wife Beatrice Gore Chance of Silsbee; sons Lynn Chance and wife Martha and Terry Ray Chance all of Fred; daughter Vivian Grissom and husband Raymond of Fred; brothers Arlan Chance and Reverend Jim Chance both of Fred; sister Merle Feldschau of Lumberton; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Foxworth, Chris Gore, John Chance, Terry L. Chance, Ritchie Grissom and Jeff Barnett.
