Funeral services for Effie Spittler, 86, of Spurger are 2:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Spittler died February 9, 2006 at the Woodville Health and Rehab Center in Woodville.
Born in Kirtley, Texas, Mrs. Spittler had lived in Nederland for a number of years and in Spurger for the last 35 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Walter Spittler of Spurger; three sons, Rueben Spittler and wife Shirley, Riley Spittler and Robert Spittler, all of Spurger; daughter Linda Stansbury and husband Lynn of Crystal Beach; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
