Britton Hutto Funeral services for Britton Hutto, 67, of Fred will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Britton was a lifelong resident of Fred and was fondly known as the “Mayor of Fred”. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a heavy equipment operator with Local #450. He loved to camp and fish with his family and loved to deer hunt. Britton also loved riding his horses. He never met a stranger. Most of all, Britton was the life of the crowd. He was always the first person to help family or friends when they were in need. Britton was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

Britton was preceded in death by his parents George and Etta Ray Hutto and brothers Don and Glenn Hutto.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Hutto of Fred; son and daughter in law, Doug and Pam Hutto of Fred; daughter Lisa Mannino of Fred; brothers Ronny Hutto of Fred, Raymond Hutto of Spurger, Steve Hutto of Spurger, Martin Hutto of Silsbee and Rex Hutto of Fred; sister Nellie Hendrickson of Spurger and five grandchildren.

We miss you so Paw! There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of you. Trae often brings up his "Paw" in conversation. As I am sitting on the back porch, I imagine you sitting right there beside me listening to your tall tales. :o) We miss your jokes and laughter. The life of the party was YOU and no one will ever replace that, well, Lisa is the only one mighty close to our "Paw" in character and actions. But, she would be because she is your daughter and a spittin image of you. We have your memories to cling to and will be with you soon. Love you and miss you so, Pam Hutto

I LOVED BRITTON SO MUCH. HE WAS THE LIFE OF A CROWD. I NEVER NEW OF A TIME THAT HE WOULDN'T START A GOOD CONVERSATION. HE ONLY HAD ONE THING ABOUT ME THAT I HONESTLY BELIEVE HE LIKED. THAT WAS MY DUMPLINGS. EVERYTIME I MADE THEM HE JUST HAD TO HAVE SOME. NOW THAT WHEN I MAKE DUMPLINGS I WILL THINK ABOUT HIM EVERYTIME I MAKE THEM. I LOVE YOU SIS.BARBARA AND LISA TOO. MAY GOD KEEP YOU IN HIS ARMS AND ALWAYS BRITTON IN YOUR HEARTS. LOVE YOU BOTH, CHAS!!
