I write this to you with my deepest sympathy in the loss of a very special lady. I had the privilege of rooming with Pauline last summer at G. A. Camp. I met Pauline for the first time at camp, and we spent three nights in the same cabin with one other sponsor and 15 girls. After only a few hours, we had bonded as sisters-in-Christ and temporary mothers to these young girls. Pauline was an inspiration to me. It was apparent that her health was not good but her attitude and dedication was ever present. We had some wonderful heart to heart talks, and soon found that we knew some of the same people. She now attended church with some folks that I had worshiped with years ago at Labelle Baptist Church, and I attended church now with some former members of Good Shepherd at First Baptist Fannett. How small the world is, and we felt like God had definitely placed us in the same cabin. Pauline needed me, and I needed her. I feel like I got to know Pauline better in those three days than I know people I have known a lifetime. When you pray and read the Bible with another person, you really get to know that person's heart. She was there with a great granddaughter and I was there with two granddaughters. We had a common goal and a common bond. We needed the love and encouragement of one another and the support. We exchanged addresses and talked about getting together and hugged goodbye. Yes, I regret that we did not keep in touch in the conventional way but I continued to pray for Pauline and her girls as I know she continued to pray for me. I know that I will someday meet Pauline again and we will have forever to praise God together. Pauline will no longer need her cain nor will she have trouble sleeping. She is at rest, and I praise God for that. I met Penny at the same camp. Please give her my love amd sincerest sympathy, and tell her she is in my prayers too.

It was a joy to have Pauline sing with us in the choir at Good Shepherd. She loves the "old" songs, but didn't mind at all trying some new ones. She always had a great attitude and loved to sing about her Lord. She will be greatly missed.
