
Funeral services for Robert Willie Cook, 89, of Vidor will be 10:00 am Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cook passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at his home in Vidor.
Born in Woodville and raised in Japer, Mr. Cook was a longtime resident of Vidor. He proudly served his country in WWII in the US Army and was a retired instrument man from Union Oil. Mr. Cook was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Vidor and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to travel.
Survivors include his wife Wanda Fain Cook of Vidor; three sons, Robert W. Cook, Jr. and wife Monica of Houston, Pat Allen Cook and wife Janet of Vidor and Ralph Robert Cook and wife Bernie of Dallas; brother G. D. Cook of Deridder; sister Inez Tool of Hemphill and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Cook is also survived by stepson Kirk J. Mosby and wife Mary of Dallas and stepdaughters, Sheila Ferrell and husband David of Seabrook, Brenda Brandon and husband Bruce of Coyle, OK and Lynette Mosby and Dewayne Collier of Vidor.
