My name is Barbara and my husband and I have lived next door to Fred and Joann in Colorado Springs for two years. Although I wasn't extremely close to Joann we did talk and I found her to be a wonderful and caring person. We both had cancer and would talk about our treatments. She felt so sorry for me, when in fact I feel I had it easier than her. She was the "true trooper." Her passing has affected me very much. I feel very deeply for Fred and Coy having to live without her. I pass the house and I still expect to see her out in the yard or hear her talking on the phone on the back patio. My thoughts will always be with her and her family. You will be missed very much Joann. Your neighbor Barbara

I know with the passing of my brothers at a young age and then the recent passing of my father that there are no words really to make the pain and hurt of losing someone go away or make you feel better. The only thing that helped me was remembering the good times and their love and the special place that they held in the family. Knowing that life would not have been the same without them and that they would want to be remember with happiness not sadness. Mine and my mothers thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I hope each day gets alittle better for all. Nicki Barks and Jessalyn Barks
