Remember with happiness all the wonderful thoughtful deeds that uncle Emil did and his love for mankind. He is still alive in the hearts of those who were blessed to share his time on this earth. A favorite verse of condolence and comfort - Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the wind to help the flowers grow. If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses, and all my prejudice against my fellow man. Give my soul to God, and If by chance you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you. If you do all I have asked, I will live forever.

My thoughts and prayers are for Dottie, Dixie and Doyle since Norman called me with the news. I can remember Uncle Emil mostly through pictures that mother had- especially the one of him in uniform. I also remember Mother always smiled when speaking of him. May God bless this family.

I was very sorry to hear that my Uncle Emil had died. My mother, Jessie Mae Bean Nichols, was the middle one of his three older sisters. She always smiled when she spoke of him, and affectionately called him 'Brother'. I didn't get to see him much (always lived 'up north'), but will never forget his ready grin, and his wonderful sense of humor that impressed me since I was a teenager (many, many years ago). He left a wonderful legacy, as witnessed on this condolence page.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, we share in your loss because we both thought so much of Mr. Bean. We were talking about him because he was our mail carrier all the years we lived in Silsbee. We had to put a new roof on our house and Karl decided he was going to do the job. Well he was just getting started and Mr. Bean came by and he look up at Karl and said you are doing that all wrong. He got on the roof and showed Karl how to lay the shingles along the edge and along the top and also in the middle, well that was over 30 years ago and as far as we know those shingles are still on the house. He always had time for friends. We will miss him and his wonderful spirit. Our prayers Patsy and Karl

I did not know Mr. Bean personally however, I do know his daughter, Dixie. She is a sweet, kind, wonderful person and I am sure Mr. Bean had a big part in that. My thoughts are with you in this time of sorry. Sincerely, Cathy Humphrey
