Don Melton Sanford Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1942 - 2007 Don Melton Sanford, Sr. Funeral services for Don Melton Sanford, 65, of Beaumont, will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 27, 2007 at Christ Community Church, 415 S 11th in Beaumont with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday August 26 at R. S. Farmer Funeral home in Silsbee. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, he went to Heaven to be with Jesus on August 22, 2007 A native of Silsbee, he was a Beaumont resident. Don Sanford was a Supervisor for the U. S. Postal Service and was an Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Yvonne Sanford of Beaumont; sons Don Lewis Jr and wife Janie of Anna, TX and Doug Lewis and and wife Angie of Farmington, N.M.; daughter Becky Gazaway and husband Chuck of Landover, KS; brother Kent Sanford and wife Denise of Kountze; sister Laverne Etue of Evadale; sister-in-law Linda Sanford and grandchildren Zachary Lewis 15, Jason Gazaway 13, Jenna Gazaway 6 and Ty Gazaway 4.

My condolences to the family; may the Peace of Christ be with you. Don was a high school classmate. We had several things in common including serving in the Army and in the Postal Service. He will be missed by all who knew him.
