My Sue, Phillip, Joshua, John, and Loretta, I am greatly saddened to hear of the loss of my half-brother. I was just notified by a Howard family member. I wish that I had had the opportunity to know him. Papa Herbert spoke very proudly of him -- especially of how intelligent Matthew was. I wish circumstances would have allowed us to know each other. All my love, Paula (Howard) Browning

Dear Family, So sorry to hear of your sudden tragic loss and my sincerest sympathy is extended to you! I had Matt as a student in the ALP class when I was a teacher at LHS during his Senior year. He was a good student and I fondly remember him as shy and quiet--never a problem in the classroom. Matt also graduated with my own son, Shane Thomas. It's hard to keep up with all students after graduation and I didn't even realize he was now a Navy veteran. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Sincerly, Mrs. Laurie Thomas
