Funeral services for Herman Cecil Sasser, 82, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Monday, March 17, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sasser died March 14, 2008 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home.
A native of Laurel, MS, Mr. Sasser was a longtime resident of this area. He was a retired boilermaker with Texaco and proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII.
Mr. Sasser was preceded in death by son Jesse Sasser. Survivors include his wife Margaret Joubert Sasser of Silsbee; sons Paul Sasser of Rusk and Damon Sasser and wife Alma of Spring; daughter Lisa Lamey and husband Toney of Silsbee; sister Lavada Rushton of Laurel, MS; brothers Dean Sasser of Houma, LA and Rolan Sasser of Pascagoula, MS; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
