Masonic graveside services for James Murray Dear, 80, of Silsbee will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 3, 2008 at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Silsbee Masonic Lodge will conduct the services under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dear died April 30, 2008 in Lumberton.
A native of Deridder, LA, Mr. Dear was a longtime resident of this area. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Navy and was a member of Silsbee Masonic Lodge. Mr. Dear was owner of Dear's Paint and Body Shop before retiring.
Murray was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Stowe Dear. Survivors include his daughters Patricia Ann Dear of Missouri, Malinda Patton of Houston and Mary Fullingim of North Carolina; step-daughter Marcia English of Lumberton; son John Dear of Jennings, LA; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
