Funeral services for Norwood Lee Sirmons, Sr., 84, of Silsbee will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sirmons died December 19, 2008 at his residence.
A native of Village Mills, Mr. Sirmons was a long time resident of Silsbee. He worked as a plant manager for Culligan before retiring and proudly served his nation in the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Sirmons was preceded in death by his wife Doris Denmon Sirmons, parents Edgar and Myrtle Sirmons and sister Opalene Crain.
Survivors include his sons and their wives, Norwood Jr. and Joyce Sirmons, Ernie and Mary Sirmons and Ricky and Penny Sirmons, all of Silsbee; eleven grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Ricky & Penny's home, 3674 Brownlea Rd, until time of visitation and service.
