I was shocked to learn of Mrs. Cain's passing. She was always so hardy and energetic. The last time I saw her was during last year's elections and she appeared to be fit, ready to take on the world. My sincerest sympathies to her many friends and family.

My mother, Joan Bryan Howell, grew up with JoAnn in Beaumont.
Then we had many years of fun when we lived near you all in Forest Acres in Kountze. I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Cain - I always thought she was absolutely wonderful.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Cain. She was so dear to me for the time that I worked there in Hardin County. I only wish I had just some of her happy spirit that was always glowing around her. She always shared a kind word with me at times when I needed it. My wife always thought so much of Mrs. Cain and enjoyed it when she would sit for a little while in the dispatch office as my wife worked. Ed I know the closeness that you and your mother enjoyed. At least you have the peace and total comfort of knowing that she is so much happier now and in complete comfort in the hand's of our Lord. May God continue to bless and comfort the entire Cain family.
