She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Silsbee, and one of the first volunteer to begin the Christian Care Center in Silsbee.

Jo Ann was a devoted wife, a loving mother to two children, and a fun and adoring MawMaw to three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

She is also survived by a twin sister, Mary Ann Jones of Fannett, a brother Charles Chriswell of Beaumont, sister Peggy Peacock of Beaumont, numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at Farmer Funeral Home, 415 North 4th Street in Silsbee on Wednesday, April 1 at 10:00 am, with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. Visitation is on Tuesday, March 31 from 5:00-7:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Crow, Derrick and Dillon Cain, son-in-law Brian Frederick, Brian Hawthorne and Richard Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Christian Care Center, a charity of your choice or your church in Jo Ann's honor.

I was shocked to learn of Mrs. Cain's passing. She was always so hardy and energetic. The last time I saw her was during last year's elections and she appeared to be fit, ready to take on the world. My sincerest sympathies to her many friends and family.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Cain. She was so dear to me for the time that I worked there in Hardin County. I only wish I had just some of her happy spirit that was always glowing around her. She always shared a kind word with me at times when I needed it. My wife always thought so much of Mrs. Cain and enjoyed it when she would sit for a little while in the dispatch office as my wife worked. Ed I know the closeness that you and your mother enjoyed. At least you have the peace and total comfort of knowing that she is so much happier now and in complete comfort in the hand's of our Lord. May God continue to bless and comfort the entire Cain family. Robert and Amanda Bailey
