Louie Russell, Jr., 67 of Buna, formerly of Vidor, passed away at his home in Buna with family by his side after an illness with lung cancer on May 8, 2009.
Louie was born February 1, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to Louie and Virginia (Scarborough) Russell. He was a painter for Local No. 130, formerly Local No. 243, for 47 years.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother Bruce Ray Russell, Sr. of Vidor. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Billie Sue Russell; son Louie Russell, III and wife Tammy of Buna; daughter Mindy Moss and husband Vance of Evadale/Buna; three grandchildren Louie Russell, IV, Kirbie Moss and Shae Russell; brothers Roger Russell of Vidor, Vernon Russell of Vidor, Doug Russell of Silsbee, Gary Russell of Sour Lake and Billy Jay Russell of Vidor and sister Carolyn Burge of Lumberton.
Funeral services will be 10:00 Monday, May 11, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
