Funeral services for Elena Gray Baquera, 91, of Silsbee will be 1:00 pm Monday, September 21, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial following in R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baquera died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Harbor Hospice Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Somerville she lived in Silsbee since 1987. She was a housewife.
Survivors include four sisters Benita Rodriquez, Susie Martinez, Mona Hernandez and husband Rudy, and Lucy Vasquez and husband Lee; daughters Mary Schoppe and husband Bobby from Somerville, Clara Munoz from Bryan, Sarah Taylor from Brenham, Gloria Apshire and husband Jerry Sr., and Carolyn Apshire and husband Jackie Sr. all of Silsbee and son Andrew Grayson Baquera and wife Nancy from North Richard Hills, Texas. She had 24 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
